FULL BLOOD BIRTH Height: 32 cm. Width: 37 cm. Signed on the front of the plinth. Bronze figure of a horse on a rectangular grass plinth. Gérome - famous for his extraordinary historicist and above all orientalist paintings - also worked as a sculptor. In 1890, for example, he created his seated female nude "Tanagra", as well as the nude figure "Corinthe". In a photo of his studio, he can be seen next to a large model of an equestrian statue.
