VENUS IN THE CIRCLE OF HER MUSES Gouache on vellum. Visible dimensions: 25 x 20 cm. Behind glass in wide decorative frame. In the center is a seated Venus with a naked upper body, her hips and legs covered by a white cloth and a blue cloth on top. She is surrounded on the right by four muses, two of whom are playing instruments, while the standing winged Cupid can be seen on the left. In the background on the left is a wall ledge with a large vase, while in the center of the background a staircase leads up to a palace complex with columns under a light blue sky. (14015310) (18)
