The cheerful Musikus in a wide mountainous landscape in front of a building with a half-ruined tower. To his left a kneeling woman just filling a jug with wine from a barrel. In front of him on the ground is a small fire over which a young man is warming his hands and at which a weakened-looking young woman is sitting with a bowl in her hand, which an old man with a beard is filling with liquid from a glass carafe.
