PEASANTS IN AN INN Oil on wood. Parquetry. 43 x 42 cm. Signed "TILBORCH" lower right. In decorative, wide frame. In the interior of an inn, two men sitting at a low table on which stands a valuable silver jug with a gilded lid, one wearing a red jacket and holding a glass, the other smoking a pipe. To their left, a little girl is sitting on a chair eating soup with a spoon and looking out of the picture. In the background are other men smoking and drinking, some in front of a fireplace on which hangs a sheet of paper with a portrait of a man. Typical depiction for the artist. (14023220) (10)
