A composition of the same subject by Cesare Fracanzano with an ascending diagonal was offered in these rooms on December 5, 2019 under lot 443. Cesare was the son of Alessandro Fracanzano, a bourgeois from upper-class circles who also worked as a painter, as did his brother Francesco Fracanzano (1612-circa 1656).
