Schwäbischer Maler, nach 1520/30 CHRISTUS TRIUMPHANS Oil on wood. Parquetry. 82 x 58 cm. In a red frame decorated with gold ornaments. A stone sarcophagus lies as a descending diagonal in the pictorial space, its lid is pushed to one side, the cave structure is visible in the left background; guards are depicted partly awake and frightened, partly asleep. Christ emerges from the sarcophagus with a golden nimbus and a cross staff with a banner, his right hand with a wound in a gesture of blessing. Knothole. (1401576) (13)
