FLORA Oil on canvas. Doubled. 126 x 101 cm. With old auction notes verso. Charming female three-quarter figure standing behind a balustrade with a basket of fruit such as grapes, plums, pears, melon and pomegranate balanced on her head, her other hand holding a bunch of fresh flowers with roses, daffodils and tulips. The figure is attributed to Kneller, while the fruit basket was painted by a Flemish painter and the floral still life indicates the involvement of Jean-Baptiste Monnoyer (1636-1699).
