Height: 28.5 cm. Maximum width: 28 cm. Label printed on the bottom "Art Céramique Ancien /NICOLIER/Expert/7 Quai Voltaire, Paris". Deruta, 16th century. Ceramic, round base, bulbous vase body in a squashed spherical shape, painted wavy band all around, the attached handles curved, widening lip. Painting/tin glaze in light brown, white ground and blue. Front and back each with wide-framed oval cartouche with inner inscription band, "MARIA-B" flanked by stylized foliage.
