Height: 82 cm. Diameter: 56 cm. Gargiulo, Sorrento, late 19th century. Designed as a folding table. Square base on shell feet with tapered foot and vase-shaped shaft. The top can be adjusted vertically by a folding mechanism on a hinge. The top plate marquetry with putto and birds in vine decoration, in trapezoidal segments with ornamental trompe l'oeil marquetry.
