Seat height: 44 cm. Backrest height: 94.5 cm. Stamped "Louis Charles Carpentier" (1730-1787), Master from 1752. Paris, around 1755. On short, curved, fluted legs, the frame stepping forward with floral carvings. Open twisted armrests with matching backrest, crowned by floral carvings. Tapestry cover with figural scenes and animals. Damaged, rest. Provenance: Formerly Kunsthandel Fischer-Böhler, Munich. Törring Collection. South German aristocratic property.
