1989 YAMAHA Type FZX Serial number: 6089 750 cm3 55494 km on odometer French registration 1 000 / 2 000 € This roadster-type Yamaha 750 FZX is powered by a four-cylinder engine, with a temperament and original styling that always makes a splash. This machine was born and bred, and sold well until 1993; The engine wasn't the first 100 hp, but its design could be said to be far more innovative than that of the GSX-R with its 20-valve cylinder head. Water-cooled cylinder block inclined at 45°, carburetors positioned vertically and connecting rod mounted on 5 bearings. The chassis is more classic. The frame has a double steel cradle, but shows real sporting qualities. The front axle is fitted with a 16-inch wheel, very much in vogue at the time, intended to provide greater handling without compromising the GSXR's bike-like qualities. The FZ oscillates between classicism and modernity, taking the best of both. And if it's less playful than the Suzuki, it's also more reassuring and a little stiffer. The bike presented here is in beautiful, original condition.
