Pius IX, Europe, late 19th century Tie pin consisting of a coin featuring the profile of Pope Pius IX, and the inscription "Pie IX PON. MAX A XXII". Pope Pius IX was elected pope in 1846 and died in 1878 (wear). NB: the fashion for coins to adorn hatpins coincided with the disaffection for cameos, around the 1880s.

MEN'S COSTUME TOP, known as a neudet, consisting of a jiletenn in blue woollen cloth, embroidered with traditional red-blue-yellow motifs, and a chupenn in black woollen cloth also embroidered on the front, sleeve cuffs, wrists and back with three flames stopping the two dovetails (very good condition despite a few buttons missing). Fashion from PLOARÉ, late 19th century.

EMBROIDERY in colored wool yarns on a black felted background depicting a bird with a tail ending in a bouquet, signed in bd embroidery "FL". Circa 1970. Dim. 115 x 81 cm.
