LAOS Beautiful feminine costume consisting of a full sarong skirt, jacket and bag. The thick, indigo-dyed cotton skirt, sewn at the ends, features a reserve (batik) decoration of latticework that stands out in lighter blue against the background (77 x 130). The small indigo jacket in thick indigo-dyed cotton with stand-up collar is darker in color; it closes with a flap on the right side by two cotton ligatures, appliqué decoration with printed fabric patches (collar, trim). On the shoulder bag in cotton and fiber, appliqués, woven stripes (red, indigo) and light pink wool pompons (66 x 37 flat). Phunoi population, Phongsaly region, in Phongsaly, Northern Laos. n°621
