Chassanei, & indice obligationum & actionum ab eodem recensito & recognito. Parisiis, Apud Joanem Jost, 1641. One volume. 8 by 13.5 cm. (12)-497-(19) pages. Contemporary full vellum, title handwritten in pen on spine. Two pieces of skin missing on the 1st board, otherwise good condition of the binding. A few pages foxed, scattered foxing, otherwise good condition inside. Book N, pp. 289 to 312, erroneously bound between pp. 360 and 361. The original edition dates from 1570. Very rare. The CCFr. lists only 4 copies (B.N.F.; Cour de Cassation; B.M. de Lyon; Bourg-en-Bresse); the Worldcat lists a 5th copy (Strasbourg BNUS); no copies in American libraries. Fabrot's edition of the Cujas Paratitles, to which he has appended notes by Alexandre Chasseneuz. The entire text was reproduced by Fabrot in his large edition of the Oeuvres de Cujas (1658), which remains the reference edition.
