Chased and gilded bronze "astronomie" clock featuring Uranie reading, leaning against a rectangular post decorated with a bookcase, above which is a bronze dial with Roman numeral hours, encircled by a crown of palmettes. It is surmounted by a celestial globe, a crown, books and a compass flanked by an astronomical telescope and a sextant presented on a pedestal.
