After Baron François Gérard (1770-1837). Bust portrait of Marshal Michel Ney (1769-1815), Duke of Elchingen, Prince of Moskowa. Oil on canvas. Gilded wood frame with palmettes. Dimensions: 64x52.5 cm. (Restorations). Provenance : Charles-Guillaume Gamot (1766-1820), brother-in-law of the model. Then Clémence Gamot (1799-1848), wife of Jean-Baptiste Partiot. Then Louise Partiot (1827-1897), wife of Casimir Edouard Harlé. Then by descent to the present day. Marshal Ney and Charles-Guillaume Gamot respectively married the two sisters Aglaé and Antoinette-Louise Auguié, nieces of Madame Campan.
