Emile Louis PICAULT (1833-1915). "Hébé et l'aigle de Jupiter" (Hebe and Jupiter's eagle). Statue in white marble depicting a woman dressed simply in a thin veil, seated on the wings of the eagle resting on a swirling cloud from which a thunderbolt springs, and on which a phylactery bearing the inscription "From the mysterious depths she brings to man the Divine spark", on a quadrangular base. Signed on the base. (Dim.: 104 x 58 x 30 cm) (one wing restored and one finger missing)
