Brown morocco, mosaic grapes and grape leaves framed on first board, mosaic grape leaves in center of second board, smooth spine decorated with mosaic grapes and grape leaves, brown morocco framing inside, decorated with an olive morocco scroll between two black fillets, The corners are trimmed with an olive morocco square, with curved edges and a red morocco rose in the center, brocaded silk lining and endpapers, double endpapers, gilt edges on witnesses, cover and spine preserved, brown morocco spine folder and flap bands, lined slipcase (Charles Lanoé). First illustrated edition, published by the Société de Saint-Éloy, printed in an edition of 128 numbered copies on Arches wove paper. It is decorated with 49 original etchings, including a title vignette, 16 chapter headings, 16 in-text compositions and 16 culs-de-lampe, by 16 member artists, namely: Charles JOUAS, André DAUCHEZ, Georges GOBÔ, Paul-Adrien BOUROUX, Eugène VEDER, Tigrane POLAT, Auguste BROUET, Henry CHEFFER, Pierre GUSMAN, Georges JEANNIOT, Edgar CHAHINE, Charles HALLO, Louis WILLAUME, Georges LE MEILLEUR, Amédée FÉAU and Albert DECARIS.
