New edition of Maurice Leblanc's famous detective novel, first published in 1930. It is illustrated with 10 compositions by Émilien DUFOUR, including one in color on the cover, a vignette on the title and 8 full-page reproductions in black. UNIQUE EXEMPLAIRE, each sheet of which has been mounted on white vellum, glued by the inside edge of the even page, ENRICHED WITH 105 ORIGINAL DRAWINGS BY DUFOUR, in watercolor or black ink wash, forming sketches and sketches that served as studies for the book's illustration. Some are annotated. All have been mounted on tabs at the end. A very fine copy bound by the Kieffer workshops. Minor rubbing to hinges.
