This set includes menus, a pass, the musical program for the evening (March 15, 1955), invitations by name, a table plan for the dinner on March 20, 1956. All these documents were issued on the initiative of the Paris City Council to "members of the diplomatic corps", and more specifically to Mr. and Mrs. Chérif Mécheri. One menu bears signatures that are difficult to identify. Chérif Mécheri (1902-1990) was the first prefect of Arab-Berber origin. He was Secretary General of the Union Française and Secretary General to the Presidency of the Republic (1948-1060).
