(6)-LII-591 pages, and 39 off-texts by STAAL on chine. Cherry red half-maroquin with corners, 5-rib spine with richly decorated boxes, double gilt fillets on covers. Binding in good condition (endpapers slightly worn). Very good condition inside (a few freckles on the edges of 5 hors-texts on chine, not serious). And 180 illustrations in the text. One of 30 copies of the first edition on Whatman (N°2). STAAL's Hors-texte are printed on Chine. A fine copy of these tales, always a delight to read...
