Swiss sabre from around 1580 Iron-mounted knuckle-bow hilt with chiselled lion's head pommel and thumb ring. Typical blade shape of this model with stepped back (approx. 15 cm from the hilt) and double-edged point (double-edged at 33 cm). Grip winding and grip socket original, hilt firmly attached. Blade slightly stained and slightly rust-stained in places. Blacksmith's mark of the 16th century (Solingen?). Overall length: 112.5 cm, blade length: 97 cm, blade width: approx. 2.8 cm, arrow height: approx. 1.5 cm, weight: approx. 1100 g. Extremely rare type!
