North Africa - [HUN (Félix)]. Excursion to Upper Kabylie, and ascent to the Tamgoutt of Lella Khedidja. By a vacationing judge from Algiers. Alger, Bastide, Paris, Challamel, 1859. In-8, 280 pp, brown half-chagrin, spine ribbed and decorated (period binding). One corner damaged, last page angularly missing, otherwise a good copy. Trip made in 1853 from Algiers to Dar-el-Mizan to find Beauprêtre. Hun then travels through certain parts of the high mountains of greater Kabylie, becoming the first Christian to ostensibly penetrate the Zouaoua. Hun's autograph signature in fine. The verso of the end page bears this autograph note, also signed: "Notre présente publication est mise en vente au profit d'une œuvre de bienfaisance civilisatrice, pas les bayonnettes, en Kabylie, Kabylie du Djerdjera". (Playfair, 1725 and 2100.)
