Jules BLANCHARD (1832-1916). Bust of a young girl. Terracotta signed and dated March 1913 (accidents and restorations). Height Height : 43 cm Provenance: artist's family. Jules BLANCHARD was a French sculptor, son-in-law of Denis Foyatier and pupil of François Jouffroy. He won the Prix de Rome in 1832 and was awarded a gold medal at the 1889 Exposition Universelle. His works can be seen in Paris, notably at the Jardin du Luxembourg and the Musée d'Orsay.
