Drummer for Joséphine BAKER (1925-1930) when she performed the DANSE "BANANA" - his own reputation as a dancer grew and he was soon considered the male equivalent of JOSEPHINE and became the pioneer of choreographic renovation and the renaissance of African dance as an art form. In 1930, he shot "SANG D'UN POETE" with Jean COCTEAU.
