Specific model on the letterhead of LA CROIX ROUGE FRANCAISE, DELEGATION du MAROC, 28 place de France à CASABLANCA, request for information for a lady from TOURS / Indre & Loire: "I have had no news since March 1943. Don't explain this long silence to me, what's become of you? Wait for an answer if it depends on you, tender kisses". date of request July 27, 1944 - at the top bears a large CROIX ROUGE Française de Casablanca postmark. In the center, stamp of the INTERNATIONAL RED CROSS of GENEVA. Document arrived in Paris, for dispatch to the Touraine addressee on March 23, 1945 (8 months! later); private SA 139 PARIS 74 franking machine imprint in red at 2 francs + small closing sticker with "C R F" letters and red cross in center. NOTE: the reverse is blank; obviously, the addressee could not be reached; it must be said that in the meantime, half of the city of Tours had disappeared under the British and American bombardments of the harsh Liberation battle.
