CHINA - QIANLONG period (1736 - 1795) Two porcelain bowls decorated in blue underglaze with peonies in foliage. On the reverse, the Qianlong mark in zhuanshu. (chips, cracks) Diam. 15.6 cm Provenance: Collection of Doctor Maurice Fournials. Appointed in 1923 to the French Occupation Corps in China, he later became the guard physician at the French Legation in Peking, then assistant physician to the President of the Chinese Republic.
