Louis XV-period molded, carved and gilded wooden canapé corbeille, stamped I.B. Boulard. Decorated with flowers and foliage, resting on eight cambered legs. Wear and tear. H. 102 L. 171 D. 65 cm Jean Baptiste Boulard received his master's degree in 1755. Louis XV chairs are rare in Jean-Baptiste Boulard's production. Of particular note is the armchair preserved at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (inv. no. Mob Nat GME 1654), and recently exhibited at the Gobelins.
