ROMAN art, 1st-2nd century. Fragmentary theater mask with the lower part missing. The eyes are pierced to indicate the pupil. The grotesque features of the character can be found in various masks related to Menander's new comedy, such as the slave or the father. White marble, beige coloration in depth, visible lacunae.
