Theodor SCHLOEPKE (1812-1878) Reunion of two drawings on one sheet including an equestrian circus scene and a man's accademy Graphite on paper Signed SCHLOEPKE and located in SHAWERIN and dated 1844 The sheet 30 x 20 cm A court painter to Grand Duke Frederic François de Mecklenbourg, he lived in Paris from 1856-1857, where he worked under the direction of Vernet. During this stay, he produced his capital work Niklots Tod (Niklot's Death).
