Attributed to Baccio del BIANCO (Florence 1604 - Madrid 1656) Design for an oratorio on the story of David Watercolor, pen and brown ink, brown wash over black pencil lines. Monogrammed lower left E.P. Drawing pasted down, center fold, slightly oiled, small stains and tears. 18.5 x 27.4 cm In an antique Italian carved wood frame. The Italian composer Giacomo Carissimi (1605-1674) created an oratorio, David and Jonatlas, which may correspond to the subject of this drawing, perhaps a stage curtain.
