George III silver coffee pot Goldsmith Paul Storr, London 1815 Beautiful baluster-shaped coffee pot, the hinged lid with a fluted dome and finial, bordered with gadroons, the scrolled handle topped with leaves and the spout adorned with shells and acanthus leaves, the top of the body engraved with an escutcheon above an applied shell and a belt of foliage, resting on four ball feet. Height 21.5 cm Weight 1089.80 grams Paul Storr is considered the finest silversmith working in England during the Regency period. His large-scale pieces are crafted to the most exacting standards, and have made his name and expertise famous. His work can be seen in museums around the world, including the collections of the English royal family. Provenance: Bought at Bonhams, London, in 2015 Perfect condition
