Facsimiles printed in a limited edition of 1,500 copies, reserved for members of the Association Les Bibliophiles de l'Originale, numbered on Papeteries de Navarre antique tinted laid paper (our copy is no. 131). Titles: L'héritière de Birague 2 vol. - Jean-Louis 2 vols. - Clotilde de Lusignan 2 vols. - Le vicaire des Ardennes 2 vols. - Le centenaire 2 vol. - L'Héritière de Birague 2 vol. - Annette et le criminel 2 vols. - La dernière fée 1vol. The 16th and final volume contains Pierre Barbéris's remarkable work: "Aux Sources de Balzac. Les romans de jeunesse", with a preface by Jean-A. Ducourneau. With an autograph letter from Pierre Barbéris to Madame A.-M. Meininger. The binding is identical to that of the "OEuvres complètes illustrées" from the same publisher, reproducing a personal copy by Balzac. Bound in half red basane, spines decorated with gilt fillets and fleurons, top edges gilt (one volume with damaged headband, some spotting on some spines).
