Large tabatiere with hunting decor porcelain with brass mounting in relief and slightly domed hinged lid. Scale mosaic fields in the corners. The lid and all sides of the wall framed by latticework with floral festoons depicting hunting scenes, including par force horsemen with a pack of hounds on the chase. Corresponding depiction on the inside lid with mounted hunters in front of a camp. Polychrome painting with gold staffage. On the underside of the lid a hunting coat of arms garlanded with oak leaves. 13 cm x 9 cm x 7 cm. A large porcelain brass-mounted snuff box painted with hunting scenes. German. Probably Thuringia. 18th/19th century.
