Edge, Manchester, mid-19th century, 3.5" barrel with fluted cylinder with foliate engraving, London Proved, foliate engraved frame and steel trigger guard, bar hammer, chequered walnut grip, the butt engraved J.W. EDGE., 22.5cm long overall, in a fitted mahogany case with powder flask stamped G. & J. W. H. FIREPROOF, cleaning rod, some fittings and one shot, other accessories lacking, with a typed letter referring to the revolver, signed in ink by James Mann, Director of the Wallace Collection, dated 1958
