A Vienna porcelain black-ground coffee can and saucer, c.1790-95, blue shield marks, impressed 90 and 32(?) to both pieces, the central black band on the can reserved with finely painted with grisaille Vitruvian scrolling foliage entwined with snakes and enclosing brightly coloured moths, between angular gilt ribbon and husk borders edged with pink bands, the saucer similarly decorated around a central gilt rosette, the cup 5.7cm high; the saucer 13.1cm diameter (2) Provenance: with Jonathan Fyson Antiques, Burford, Oxfordshire, 2009.
