A Vienna porcelain chamber-candlestick, c.1780, blue shield mark, indistinct impressed mark, indistinct black painter’s marks, the purple-ground stem painted with bead and reeded ornament between moulded oval green-ground panels on each side, the panels painted en grisaille with classical figures and suspended from ribbon-tied gilt and black garlands, with a foliate scroll handle, the circular plinth lower part moulded with four rosettes above four foliate bun feet, 8cm high Provenance: with Jonathan Fyson Antiques, Burford, Oxfordshire, 2009.
