Width 6 cm Aviator Farman developed this plane and made the first flight from Paris to Reims in August 1909.

VERY RARE TRAVEL DOCUMENT, postcard (one unimportant tear on the card) from Reims to Geneva, date stamped July 17, 1910, shows the statue of Joan of Arc on horseback in front of the cathedral, franking 10c semeuse rouge (138) + RARE stamp of the Meeting NON DENTELE biplane over the statue of J. d' Arc (FORMANT AINSI CARTE MAXIMUM (Silombra V 33). Unique piece with interesting text "reportage de la manifestation" on verso: "Reims Dimanche ... I went to BETHENY (Reims Aviation) on Friday afternoon... it's amazing... you'd never know how many cars go by night and morning... it would be impossible to count them, especially at the speed they go. As for the aeroplanes, 3 have already passed in front of our windows, as well as one over my head in the middle of the road; I assure you it's impressive.... I'll also send you some pretty aviation cards next week... "
