Uzbekistan, 19th century Three cotton strips embroidered with polychrome silk threads, lined. The center is decorated with a double pair of round "Doira gullar nusxasi" flowers, encircled by a ribbon of the same flowers and thin vegetal bands. The border is decorated with floral and plant scrolls. Condition: Wear, tears, holes and small chips. 206 x 146 cm A Shahrisabz Suzani silk and coton textile, Uzbekistan,19th century Provenance : Former collection of British costume designer Anthony Powell (1935-2021).
