Deux firmans / décrets royaux de la cour Qajar décernant le 3e puis, le 2e ordre impérial du Lion et du Soleil à un certain M. Estas

Iran, by Mozaffar al-din Shah, and the regent of Ahmad Shah, dated Hegira 1323 and 1331 (= 1905 and 1912). Ink, gouache and gold on paper, calligraphed in nasta'liq script, in Persian, in black ink, in reserve on a gold background, decorated with polychrome medallions, and vine branches. Each in a Khatam-kari (micro-mosaic) frame. 51 x 35 and 59 x 45 cm The 1st decree, issued by Mozaffar al-Din Shah Qajar, awards the Imperial Order of the Lion and the Sun, 3rd class, to Mr. Estas (?), head of customs in [the city of] Boushehr, in 1323H./ 1905. Crowned with the seal of Mozaffar al-Din Shah. The 2nd decree issued by the Nayeb al-Saltaneh / regent, (probably Ali-Reza Khan Azod-ol-Molk) on behalf of Ahmad Shah Qajar (last king of the Qajar dynasty and grandson of Mozaffar al-Din Shah), awards the Imperial Order of the Lion and the Sun 2nd class to Mr. Estas (?), provincial director of taxation of the province of Fars, in 1331H./ 1912. Crowned with the seal of Nayeb al-Saltaneh on the right. Two firmans / royal decrees from the Qajar court awarding the 3rd and then the 2nd Imperial Orders of the Lion and the Sun to a certain Mr Estas, Iran, by Mozaffar al-din Shah, and the regent of Ahmad Shah, dated 1323 and 1331 AH (AD 1905 and 1912).
