Ottoman Empire, circa 1900 Square cotton decorated in polychrome, with brocaded silver and gold thread decoration, centered on a large central rosette with epigraphic decoration, framed by floral motifs on the border. Signed on the side, Youssef Abou Chakra. 154.5 x 154.5 cm Provenance : Sotheby's, October 28, 2009, lot 151. A metal-thread hanging from Aleppo, Ottoman Empire, signed Youssef Abou Chakra, circa 1900.
