Louis Albert CARVIN (1860 - 1951)

Chamelier Bronze lost-wax cast with brown patina. Inscribed on the terrace L. CARVIN Base in veined anthracite marble. Total height: 22 cm; bronze height: 14.5 cm Louis Albert Carvin trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he was a pupil of Emmanuel Frémiet. A member of the Société des artistes français, he exhibited at its Salon from 1893 to 1933. Specializing in animal sculpture, he worked with a fine, precise chisel.
