Iran, Ilkhanid art, 13th century Forming a large siliceous ceramic dish with metallic lustre decoration on a white glaze, and a monochrome blue glaze on the outside. The decoration is composed of multiple multi-lobed medallions featuring seated musicians. On the lip, a rinceau of interlacing with felines. H. 10 x D. 44 cm. as is.
