Rectangular box in rosewood and violetwood veneer and marquetry. The lid is decorated with arabesques and leafy scrolls. Signed on the lock. Napoleon III period. Height: 10 cm - Width: 25 cm - Depth: 16 cm The Maison VERVELLE factory was located on rue Montmorency Feydeau. In the report on the 1844 Exposition publique des produits de l'industrie française, Maison VERVELLE is described as follows: an artist of merit; all the furniture that leaves his workshops bears a stamp of good taste.
