Blond tortoiseshell veneered cartel with ormolu trim and foliate decoration. The violin-encrusted cartel with twenty-four-part engraved silvered metal dial signed Franciscu VELLA. The door is decorated with a Rocaille motif topped by a vase. Italy, 18th century (some bronzes added). Movement not guaranteed. Height: 116 cm - Width: 44 cm Sea turtle shell specimen conforming to CE 338/97 art. 2.w.mc of 09/12/96. Specimen prior to June 1, 1947. However, if the specimen is to be exported from the EU, a CITES re-export certificate will be required, at the expense of the future buyer.
