Excellent saboneta watch by the Madrid watchmakers G.RIESTERER and M. ARREGUI (Chamber Watchmakers of the Kings of Spain), in solid yellow gold case, 52 mm, with three covers, the outer ones with guilloché decoration and the smooth dust cover. Movement No. 22156 with 3/4 plate and Duplex escapement with rubies and compensated bi-metal balance wheel, probably imported from England. Time setting and key winding. Beautiful Elizabethan dial in silver and gold with reliefs of flowers and garlands, Roman numerals. Second hand at six o'clock. C. 1870. Very good condition (1). Running condition. [Gabriel Riesterer was the first chamber watchmaker of SS. MM in times of Isabel II, mid S.
