REGAIN HOUSE. Solid elm parquet clock with one partly glazed leaf resting on four straight legs, white enameled circular dial, with movement and weights. Circa 1980 (Dim.: 210 x 29 x 50.5 cm) This piece of furniture, with its minimalist curves, lack of ornamentation and carved handles, is part of the Brutalist movement that marked post-war architecture and design. It can be compared with Charlotte Perriand's emblematic designs for the Les Arcs resort, and those of Pierre Chapo, who also collaborated with Maison Regain.
