This mineral specimen is not subject to regulation under the Washington Convention (CITES), European Community Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996, or the French Environment Code. These marvellous natural sculptures, prized since the 17th century, were used in the gardens of the Château de Versailles, notably in the garden of the three fountains. Today, they are the pride of internationally renowned museums such as the Smithsonian Institution, the British Museum of Natural History, the Orleans Museum and others.
