Contemporary binding in full calf, spine gilt (some wear and chipping, mainly to joints).

Die-cut brass fittings, stamped "3548" and hallmarked. Iron belt hook and ramrod. Walnut stock stamped with the same serial number. A.B.E. (service wear).
