Restoration-period wood and gilded stucco frames. 66 x 84 cm (traces of humidity, damage to a glass). Please note Our drawings may have served as models for the famous engravings after Salmon by Bénédict PIRINGER, drawn from life in 1807. Jacques Pierre François SALMON was a history and landscape painter. A pupil of Jean Bardin and Jean-Baptiste Regnault, he was a drawing teacher at the Lycée d'Orléans.
